The displacement of unwanted coatings, such as paint and rust, from metallic substrates is a frequent challenge across multiple industries. This evaluative study assesses the efficacy of focused laser ablation as a viable technique for addressing this issue, juxtaposing its performance when targeting organic paint films versus ferrous rust layers.
